Summary: Jensen is a carrier, which means he can get pregnant. He wants kids, but just got out of a long relationship and doesn't want to wait for another one. Jared is his best friend who would do anything for him, Including giving him a baby

“Jensen It’s been a month! I seriously don’t think you should take the test now. It won’t even be able to detect it.” Jared pleaded.
Earlier today, Jensen had gone out and bought a pregnancy test, and Jared really thinks that they should wait. If it was negative, which it will be because it had only been two weeks since Jensen came to his office saying he was ovulating, then Jensen will be heartbroken. Jared just thinks that its common sense that the test would be negative, even if Jensen was pregnant.
“Jay, this test says it can detect pregnancy up to five days before your missed period or absorption. Mine is in three days give or take, so it should be able to read it. Jay, I just wanna know, okay? I know it probably won’t be positive, I still just want to try.” Jensen’s face was pleading and Jared just nodded.
Jensen hugged him and took the test into the bathroom.
“Jen, it says we have to wait three minutes for the test to incubate…” Jared yelled through the door, reading the directions on the box.
Jared heard the toilet flush and the sink run, and then Jensen opened the door. Jensen smiled at Jared, and held the test in his hand.
“So…three minutes…” Jared rocked back on his heels.
“Yup…”
“Look Jen, it’s not gunna be positive, even if you are pregnant. Seriously, I don’t think this was a good idea. We should have waited another week or two. I just don’t want to see you upset because we did this too early. It’s ridiculous Jen, we are going to get our hopes up, and be disappointed. Then that will stress us out, and then we will-“
“Its positive…”
“Be increadibly on edge and you will never get, wait did you just say it was positive!?” Jared looked at Jensen’s astonished face with wide eyes.
“Yes! Look, the little line is blue. Pink means negative and blue means positive. Jared, the test is positive.” Jared smiled and pulled Jensen into a hug.
“Oh god! Jen, just… Jesus Christ, your pregnant!” Jared laughed and hugged Jensen tighter.
Jensen went stiff in Jared’s arms and Jared pulled back from him.
“Jen, you okay? Aren’t you excited?”
“Yeah, of course I am…it’s just… I think I should take another one. Just in case, you know, false positives and all…” Jensen looked heartbroken, Jared supposed that he really didn’t want to get his hopes up just in case.
Jared knew how he felt.
“Yeah, Sure Jen. I’ll run to CVS right now, do you want anything else?” Jared said softly, rubbing Jensen’s cheek with his thumb. Jensen just shook his head.

Jared pulled his SUV into the parking lot of CVS. He walked into the store, looked at the counter and promptly froze. He forgot that their friend Steve worked here in the afternoons on Thursdays. Jared panicked, he didn’t know if Jensen wanted to tell people. He pulled out his cell phone and dialed Jensen.
“Did you forget the brand or something?” Jensen sighed onto the phone as soon as he picked up.
“Uh, no. Steve is working and… I just wanted to know if we are telling people. Like, when I show up at the counter with a pregnancy test and he asks who I knocked up? I just don’t know, I figured I should ask you first.”
Jensen went silent on the other line for a while, then he cleared his throught and laughed lightly.
“Oh, um, I probably should have thought about this. I guess, I mean we have to eventually. I guess I just wanted to wait till I was absolutely sure I was pregnant. I guess just, tell him the truth. When I take the second test, if it comes out positive, then I guess we should plan how to break the news to everyone.”
Jared smiled as he walked to the family planning isle.
“Alright, I’ll be back soon.”
“Kay, bye. Oh and Jared?”
“Hmm?”
“Thanks.”
Jared smiled wider.
“No problem Jen.”
Jared hung up the phone and looked through the isle for the brand he was looking for. He found it and brought it to the counter, stopping to pick up a bag of Cheetos and a Coke.
“Hey Steve.” Jared said, as he placed his items on the counter.
“Hey Jared. CVS card?” Jared handed over the CVS card to Steve and he started ringing up his Items. When he got to the pregnancy test he paused and looked up at Jared.
“Uh…”
Jared panicked, and when he panics, he tends to talk a lot, without a filter.
“It’s for Jensen. He and Neil broke up and he wanted kids because Jensen is a carrier so he was upset and we decided to have kids together since I’m his best friend so we went to the doctor and he got an ovulation test and then I was at work, he came in and he said he was ovulating and then we had sex on my desk, then I asked him to move in with me and he did and after we redid his room we had sex on his bed and now it’s a month later and he took one earlier today that came out positive and this ones for backup.”
Steve just staired at Jared wide eyed and his jaw was practically laying on the counter. The old woman behind him in line might have giggled, but jared wasn’t quite sure.
“Uh, okay then. Your total comes to $18.62.” Jared smiled nervously and handed Steve a $20.
“Steve? Can you keep this quite? Me and Jensen wanted to wait till we were absolutely sure, and then tell everyone together.”
Steve smiled and bagged his items.
“Yeah man sure. Congrats by the way.”
Jared smiled and took his bag, leaving for the car.

Back at Jared’s apartment, Jensen sat and waited for Jared to get back. He was anxious, he honestly didn’t expect it to be positive. At the same time he was excited. He couldn’t wait to be a mother.
Jared opened the door and smiled. “Hi.” He said.
“Hi.” Jensen said back.
Jared handed him the bag. “Here.” Jensen took the bag into the bathroom and took the test.
Three minutes later a smiling Jensen emerged with the blue lined stick. “Positive again.” Jared hugged Jensen and kissed him.
“Were gunna be parents!” He squeeled. Jensen laughed and hugged him back. “Okay put me down sasquatch.
This cant be good for the baby.”
Jared put him down and kissed his head. “I’m calling Misha to make a conformation appointment.” He smiled and ran to get the phone.
Jensen put a hand on his stomach and smiled.

Jensen and Jared sat in the examination room waiting for Misha. They both had excited smiles on their faces. Misha walked in and smiled at them. “So I hear you two succeeded in your quest for parenthood.”
Jensen blushed. “Supposedly. That’s why we are here, for an ultrasound. I took two home test and they were both positive.” Jensen grabbed Jared’s hand.
Misha nodded and pulled over the ultrasound machine. “Lift up your shirt and lie back.” He said. Jensen did and looked at the monitor. “This will be cold.” He said before squirting gel on Jensen’s stomach. Jensen hissed at the coldness, and Misha moved the wand around his stomach.
The gray image came up on the screen, to Jensen and Jared; they couldn’t tell what they were looking at. Misha smiled though, and pointed to a darker blob on the screen.
“See that blob? That’s your baby. Well it will be.” Misha smiled. He ran a few more tests and mentioned Jensen’s HCG levels were on the high side, but that it was nothing to worry about.
A tear ran down Jensen’s cheek. Jared smiled and whipped it away.
“Why are you crying?” He whispered.
“Because, I’m so excited.” Jensen smiled.
Misha asked if they wanted a print out and they said yes of course, and asked if they could get three, one for them and one for each of their families. Misha smiled and whipped off the gel on Jensen’s stomach, then told them he would be back and left the room.
Jensen put his hand on his stomach again. “Jay, Our baby is in there.” He said and smiled. Jared chuckled and put his hand over Jensen’s. “You’re kind of cheesy. But it’s good.” He smiled and kissed Jensen’s temple.
Misha came back with the prints and told them to make an appointment for next month.
Jensen hugged him and thanked him.
They boys looked down at the prints and smiled at their baby.
A/N this is a random ultrasound I found on the internet for around the same amount of weeks pregnant Jensen is supposed to be. I dont know who's it is, and Im not pretending to.
